We want you to know what to expect, when to expect it, and how we’ll be cheering for you along the way.
Here’s how we do things at the Purple Crypto Team:

People think we’re only building a money app.
And sure, we are.
But what we’re building is a team of people who care, people who are bold, and people who want to lead from wherever they are.
We want you to come in, do your best work, grow fast, and leave your mark.
Some people stay here and lead teams.
Some go off and start things. Either way, we want you to win.
So if you’re thinking, “How do I stand out?” “What are they really looking for?” This is your guide.
1. The application form
“You’re thinking they probably won’t read this.”
Wrong. We will.
Every application is read by a real person. We’re not scanning for fancy degrees or buzzwords. We’re looking for thought.
If we ask you a question in the form, we want your actual thinking. Don’t just GPT your way through the answers or copy what you think we want to hear. Tell us something that shows how you think, not just how you type.
What wins here? - Real examples from your experience - Just enough context to show you care about the role. - Clear and straight to the point responses
2. The pre-interview questionnaire
“These are chill but important to us.”
You’ll get a few questions. Not an interview. Not a test. Avoid cliché answers like “I love learning” with no real example We just want to know how you see the world. What matters to you? Why are you even applying? What kind of work makes you feel alive? We’re not looking for perfect answers. We’re looking for the truth. We’re looking forYOU.
People who do well here usually: - Tell short but clear stories - Connect their experience to the role
3. The WHO chat
“This is not your regular recruiter call.”
This one’s a conversation. We’ll ask about your story, your past, your future, and your vibe. We want to know what you’re like to work with, what you’ve done that made you proud? What you learned from work that didn’t go well? And how you handle hard stuff.
It’s called the WHO Chat because we’re figuring out who you are beyond your resume.
Want to win this round? - Don’t wing it. Reflect and prepare before you show up. - Get to know more about the role and Quidax . - Show and tell us why this role matters to you. - Tell the truth, even if it’s not shiny.
4. The technical assessment
“This is where we see how you think and reason.”
This part changes depending on the role.
If you’re applying for a tech role, you’ll get a technical challenge. If it’s a non-tech role, you’ll get an assessment via our assessment platform. Applying for a leadership role? You’ll work on a real-life business case study.
We just want to know how you approach real work. Not theory nor fluff. Just how you’d handle the kind of things you’d be doing here.
Here’s what helps: - Treat it like a project, not an exam. - Aim for clarity and simplicity - not perfection. - Treat this like you would any task at work, but be sure to bring your A-game. - If you make an assumption, say so. If something confuses you, tell us what you’d ask.
Hint - We’ve hired people who weren’t the most experienced, but blew us away with how they thought. That matters more than a polished response.
5. The technical chat
“Now, this is the deep dive.”
You’ll meet your potential manager, and this is where we dig into your skills. We’ll talk about wins, misses, and what you’ve built. Not just what you know, but how you’ve applied it.
Plus, we’ll give you a prep guide so you know exactly how to shine.
People who pass this stage: - Talk through their process, not just the outcome. - Share real stories with real numbers or impact. - Are curious about how we work too
If you’ve ever said “this is how I solved it” and walked someone through your thinking, this is your moment.
6. The team chat (for some roles)
“How well can you work with others?”
Not everyone/role gets this round. But if the role is cross-functional or people-heavy, you’ll meet the team. No, we’re not testing your banter. We’re just seeing if the vibe works. It’s like meeting the crew you’ll build with. We want you to feel it too. This goes well when you: - Bring your real personality. - Show how you collaborate. - Ask thoughtful questions, not just answer them.
7. The culture chat
“Is this your kind of tribe?”
You’ll speak with key players who shape Quidax culture, usually our COO and Head of People & Culture. It’s a check-in on your values, growth, and on whether this is a place you’ll thrive.
We’ll ask what matters to you in a team. How do you lead yourself? What kind of work do you want to be proud of?
People who get far here: - Can speak about their values without sounding like a podcast. - Have thought about the kind of culture they want. - Ask real questions about how we work.
8. Offer → checks → start
If everything goes smoothly after the final interview, we’ll send you an offer letter — yay! 🎉 Once you sign, we’ll move into the final bits:
1. Reference Checks: For certain roles (usually mid to senior-level), we may ask to speak with 1 - 2 folks you’ve worked with in the past — just to get more context on how you work and the impact you’ve made. 2. Background Checks: These are standard for all roles and help us verify key details like your work history and credentials.
Once that’s done, it’s time to officially welcome you to Quidax! You’ll get your onboarding details and access to everything you need to hit the ground running. And if it’s a no? Be sure that we’ll tell you. And where we can, we’ll share specifics. This might not be the moment. But that doesn’t mean you’re not the person.
